There's been much talk on the ABC news lately about the intrepid Italians denying Australians the right to call the excellent Tasmanian hard cheese, dare I say it, Parmesan...
The French and Greeks have similar complaints about 'their' Australian-made products.
For the hard cheese, there's an easy way out: your truly will henceforth call it "Parmaggio", a contraction of the Italian Parmigiano and Formaggio for cheese in general.
Beat that, mascalzoni!
There's one problem solved, already...
